Nvidia und PGI kooperieren bei Fortran-Compiler für CUDA
Das Ergebnis der im Juni 2009 zustande gekommenen Kooperation ist der jetzt in einer öffentlichen Beta vorgestellte PGI CUDA Fortran Compiler.
Nvidia hat gemeinsam mit der zu STMicrolelectronics gehörenden Portland Group, Inc. (PGI) eine öffentliche Beta-Version des PGI CUDA Fortran Compiler [1] vorgestellt. Es handelt sich dabei um ein Fortran-Pendant zu Nvidias C Compiler für CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture), die Entwicklungsumgebung des Unternehmens für seine Grafik-Prozessoren.
Der Compiler ist auf den PGI-Seiten [2] in Versionen für Linux, Mac OS X und Windows zum Download verfügbar. Für seinen Einsatz ist die Installation des CUDA SDK [3] erforderlich. (ane [4])
