Google shows Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold
Photos of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold have been leaked online. Google has responded and shows the new smartphones in a video.

Google has shown its upcoming Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold phones in short videos. This is the company's response to leaked photos of the devices that had previously appeared online – and apparently show the design of the smartphones. Both smartphones are to be fully unveiled at an event on August 13. This was foreseeable because the event had already been scheduled. However, the two videos now published by Google provide the final confirmation.
For the design of the Pixel 9 Pro, Google has opted for a new camera hump that no longer goes all the way across the back as it did on the Pixel 8. Instead, the camera hump ends on both sides, rounded off a few millimetres before the edge of the housing. This design has been discussed in the community for months because of leaks – some fear that the edges of the hump could be uncomfortable in the hand. However, a cover would solve this problem.

The standard version of the Pixel 9 is not shown in the Google videos, but it probably looks very similar to the Pixel 9 Pro. Traditionally, the basic versions of Pixel phones are only slightly smaller and have a slimmed-down camera system.
Pixel 9 Pro Fold folding phone
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is only the second foldable phone from Google, after the Pixel Fold, which was launched last summer. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold also has a distinctive camera hump, which divides its cameras into two parallel layers.

Google advertises both phones in the short videos with AI functions via the Gemini model, but without announcing any new features. Google has also not yet revealed the insides of the phones. What is clear, however, is that both Generation 4 phones are powered by Google's Tensor chip.
