Netflix: Second "Arcane" season to be released every week
Netflix continues to produce video game content. The second season of the "League of Legends" series "Arcane" will be released in three acts.

As part of its Geeked Week, the US streaming service Netflix has released several new trailers for films and series based on well-known video games. These include the second season of "Arcane", the highly acclaimed series spin-off of "League of Legends": a two-and-a-half-minute trailer shows protagonist Vi as a hardened arena fighter with an alcohol problem.

The release rhythm of the second and final season of "Arcane" is unusual: while Netflix usually releases all series episodes at once, season 2 of "Arcane" will be released in three "acts" – spread over three weeks. Act 1 will be released on November 9, Act 2 on November 16 and Act 3 on November 23. It is not known how many episodes the individual acts will consist of.
"Splinter Cell" and "The Witcher"
In addition to "Arcane", Netflix has also released a first teaser for its "Splinter Cell" series , which has been in the works for years. The series is called "Deathwatch" and follows the sneaking adventures of the game's main character Sam Fisher. The protagonist is voiced by US actor Liev Schreiber.

Apart from that, the short trailer explains very little, and there is no release date yet. What is known, however, is that the series is being created in cooperation with rights holder Ubisoft and is being produced by Derek Kolstad, who has made a name for himself as the creator of the action film series "John Wick".
Netflix has also released a series adaptation of "Devil May Cry" and a first trailer for the animated "The Witcher" film "Sirens of the Deep". Following 'Nightmare of the Wolf', this is the second animated film about Geralt the Witcher, who is voiced by video game voice actor Doug Cockle in 'Sirens of the Deep'. The film is based on the short story "A Small Sacrifice" by Andrzej Sapkowski and will be available on February 11, 2025.
