North Pi: 3D printed housing for Raspis from Fractal Design
The North Pi for the Raspi 4 and 5 was actually a trade fair gag. Due to the high demand, Fractal Design is now providing 3D print files.

Fractal Design has designed its first case for single-board computers. Originally, this was only intended as an accessory for the Computex IT trade fair in June and not as an actual product. Although the case is still not being sold as a finished product, Fractal Design is making STL files available for 3D printing due to the high level of interest.
The whole thing is called Project North Pi and is based on the normal desktop case North. Fractal Design offers the download of the 3D print files via its own website. There is also a 15-page PDF guide with details on printing, the exact dimensions and how the individual parts need to be screwed together.
The download includes 13 STL files, but interested parties only need to print 11 of them. Fractal Design provides three different back panels: a combination version for the Raspberry Pi 4, Raspi 5 and Radxa Rock 4C Plus, among others, one purely for the Raspi 5, and a DYI version without pre-printed connection openings. The side ports of single-board computers are also accessible via the lid.
Plastic, wood or acrylic
The wooden struts in the front are iconic for Fractal Design. Those interested can choose to print these from normal or wood-reinforced filament or saw real wood to fit. A total of nine clips hold the three struts – The latter do not have to be 100 percent accurate with this method of attachment.
The right-hand side panel can either be printed in the desired color or milled from acrylic if the inner system is to be visible.
Overall, the North Pi measures 50 mm × 105 mm × 96 mm (W × H × D). According to Fractal Design, there is space behind the front for two 40 mm fans with a depth of 10 mm.
