Powertoys 0.81.1: Microsoft delivers bug fixes for Advanced Paste
Microsoft's developers have released a bug-fixed version 0.81.1 of the Powertoys toolkit. Advanced Paste is primarily affected.

Version 0.81.1 of the Powertoys tool collection has been released and corrects a number of errors. These mainly affect the new Advanced Paste function.
Advanced Paste can optionally convert the contents of the clipboard into new target formats with AI support. However, it can also do this (to a limited extent) without connecting to AI services on the network. To this end, the developers have adapted the descriptions in the advanced paste settings and the OOBE pages (welcome page, "out-of-box experience"): The use of artificial intelligence is optional, requires an opt-in and the function can also be used without.
New advanced paste function with several bugs
The Powertoys developers also write on the release page that Advanced Paste could be triggered if some of the hotkeys were not set. In this context, the business messenger Slack was mentioned most frequently in error messages.
In the Advanced Paste settings, the clipboard history could also be activated or deactivated, although the function was not permitted by group policy. In addition to the bug fixes, there was also a functional enhancement: the programmers have added a group policy that can be used to disable the use of online AI models and prevent the entry of an API key.
The update can be started from the installed software, for example. The "Check for updates" button can be found in the "General" tab under "Version and updates".
