"Star Wars: Ahsoka" – Possible second season in preparation
There were already reports of a sequel at the beginning of 2024. Now the "Star Wars" series about Ahsoka Tano as Anikin Skywalker's Padawan is set to continue.

The series "Ahsoka" from the "Star Wars" universe is soon to get a second season. After the first season, the series has gained a large fan base and continues the story of Ahsoka Tano, the former Padawan student of Anakin Skywalker, and her Mandalorian student Sabine Wren.
Although the follow-up season of "Ahsoka" was officially confirmed in early 2024, there is still a lot of speculation and rumors about the official start date, cast and plot of the next season, according to a report by TechRadar.
Numerous Star Wars projects
Dave Filoni, creator and showrunner of the series and Chief Creative Officer of Lucasfilm, explained in June 2024 that he is currently fully focused on the development of the second season of 'Ahsoka'. However, filming could be delayed as Filoni and Jon Favreau, the creator of the "Mandalorian" series, are also working on a film entitled "The Mandalorian & Grogu", which is due to go into production this year and be released in cinemas in May 2026.
If this film takes priority, filming on the second season of "Ahsoka" may not begin until mid to late 2025, with an airing on Disney+ not expected until late 2026 at the earliest. So fans will probably have to wait a little longer to continue following the adventures of Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren.
Continuation of the story
"Ahsoka" has received some positive reviews and built up a dedicated fan base, which may also have prompted Disney Plus to consider a sequel. The story of Jedi warrior Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, would also offer plenty of potential for further stories in the "Star Wars" universe.
The plot of the first season left many questions unanswered and many fans are likely to be very excited to see how Ahsoka Tano's story will develop. There is speculation that the second season will delve even deeper into "Star Wars" history and also continue the story of the two other characters, Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen).
