Entwicklung bei Safari findet seit einiger Zeit mit Schwerpunkt auf Geschwindigkeit und (dadurch auch) Ressourcenschonung statt. Daher läuft Safari auf iOS deutlich schneller bei längerer Akkulaufzeit.
Aktuelle "Top"-Android-Geräte kommen teilweise nicht einmal an die Browser-Performance des iPhone 6 von 2014 ran.
