KI-System mit Intel-Chips

Die taiwanische Asus-Tochterfirma Aaeon kündigt eine neue Version ihrer „UP“-Boards an: Das UP Core Plus lässt sich mit aufsteckbaren Zusatzplatinen um Netzwerkanschlüsse, einen FPGA-Koprozessor und einen KI-Chip erweitern. Das UP Core Plus ist wie der UP2 (siehe c’t 16/2017, S. 50) mit einem Intel Celeron N3350 (Apollo Lake) lieferbar. Es gibt auch Versionen mit Atom- und Pentium-Varianten des SoCs, mit 2 bis 8 GByte RAM und 32 bis 64 GByte eMMC-Flash.
