Ergo Wave Keys and MX Keys S for Mac: New Apple keyboards from Logitech
The accessory manufacturer offers further Bluetooth keyboards especially for Apple customers. The range also includes an ergonomic model and a mouse.

With the "Designed for Mac" series, Logitech is launching revised versions of its input devices on the market. These are usually technically identical to regular models. However, keyboards from this series do not have a double Windows and Mac layout, but only Apple-specific keys such as "Command" and "Option" instead of "Ctrl" and "Alt". They are also designed to blend in more harmoniously with the Apple environment with slightly different color variants.
After Logitech recently reissued the MX Mechanical as an Apple variant, the manufacturer is expanding its Designed for Mac portfolio with the Ergo Wave Keys, the MX Keys and the MX Anywhere 3S.
Ergo Wave Keys for Mac
According to the manufacturer, the Ergo Wave Keys is the first ergonomic keyboard for the Mac. The curved, white keyboard comes with a numeric keypad and a padded palm rest. The rest consists of three layers of memory foam and is covered with a thin layer of fabric, which is intended to increase comfort for the wrists. In addition, the legs of the Wave Keys can be tilted by 4 degrees. The keyboard is powered by two AA batteries, which should last up to three years.
MX Keys S for Mac
The MX Keys S for Mac follows on from the MX Keys for Mac. It has a numeric keypad and flat, backlit keys that light up as soon as hands approach the keyboard. In addition to a version with a space gray housing and black keycaps, there is now also a light gray model with white keys. Both versions have built-in rechargeable batteries that are charged via USB-C. One charge should last ten days with the backlight switched on and up to five months without the backlit keys. With the Options+ software, macros (so-called Smart Actions) can be assigned to certain keys or data can be exchanged between several connected computers.
There is also a cosmetic update for the compact MX Keys Mini for Mac version. It is now also available in space gray.
MX Anywhere 3S
The MX Anywhere 3S for Mac is designed for mobile use. It has a resolution of 8000 dpi and is designed to work on various surfaces including glass. The keys are said to click more quietly than on the MX Anywhere 3, and a scroll wheel enables fast scrolling at up to 1000 lines per second. A built-in battery is said to last 70 days and is charged via USB-C. It largely corresponds to the conventional MX Anywhere 3S, but is available in other colors (space grey and light grey).
Wireless via Bluetooth or Bolt receiver
Logitech specifies macOS 11 or iOS/iPadOS 14 as the system requirements for all devices. All new keyboards and the MX Anywhere 3S for Mac are paired with Mac, iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth Low Energy. Up to three computers or tablets can be connected and switching between the different devices is done at the touch of a button or a click. The devices are also compatible with Logitech's USB receiver Bolt, although this is not included with the Designed for Mac devices. The conventional MX Keys S and Ergo Wave Keys are supplied with the Bolt plug.
All products will be available from May 30th. The Wave Keys for Mac cost 79.99 euros, the MX Keys S for Mac are available for 119 euros. For a set consisting of an MX Keys S, a Logitech MX Master 3S for Mac and a wrist rest, Logitech charges 219 euros. The MX Anywhere 3S for Mac will cost 99.99 euros.
