Intel's next top CPU model is called Core Ultra 9 285K
The CPU-Z readout tool already supports Intel's next two CPU series, Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake. AMD's Ryzen is also included.
Intel has introduced the LGA1700 platform with the Core i-12000 series. The Core Ultra 200 (Arrow Lake) is getting new LGA1851 mainboards.

AMD and Intel are preparing to launch new desktop and notebook processors. This also involves third-party developers, who update their tools in time for the market launch. One of these is the popular CPU-Z readout tool, whose current version 2.10 supports numerous upcoming processors.
Intel is the more interesting case, because CPU-Z confirms numerous CPU names that were previously buzzing around the rumor mill. The next desktop generation from the Arrow Lake family comes as the Core Ultra 200, with the top model called the Core Ultra 9 285K, followed by the Core Ultra 7 265K and the Core Ultra 5 245K.
According to rumors, these models will be released in October, together with new Z890 mainboards. The non-overclockable CPUs usually follow at the electronics trade fair CES at the beginning of the year, in this case the Core Ultra 9 275, the 7 model 266 and the 5 model 240.
Lunar Lake extends to the Core Ultra 9 288V
The notebook processors in the Lunar Lake series are given "crooked" names with a V suffix. The top model, for example, is called Core Ultra 9 288V, followed by the 7 series types 268V, 266V, 258V, 256V and the 5 series 236V, 228V, 226V.
The names are quite surprising, as their high numbers suggest a complete replacement of the previous Meteor Lakes. The latter bear the names Core Ultra 9 185H through to Core Ultra 5 125U. However, Lunar Lake was originally primarily intended for compact and partly fanless notebooks that do not need to achieve the performance of the powerful Meteor Lake devices. This is why Lunar Lake only has four performance and efficiency cores each instead of 6+8 like Meteor Lake.
Support for new Ryzen CPUs
AMD's Zen 5 processors are also included in CPU-Z 2.10. The tool can handle both the Ryzen 9000 desktop CPUs and the Ryzen AI 300 notebook models. This includes the correct reading of names, clock frequencies and cache sizes. AMD has already announced the specific models, including the clock frequencies.
Notebooks with Ryzen AI 300 will appear from mid-July. At the end of the month, AMD will present the Ryzen 9000, led by the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X. Notebooks with Intel's Lunar Lake series will be released in September and Arrow Lake for desktop PCs in October.
