Kia Picanto gets a new look and enhanced assistance systems
Kia has revised the Picanto, changing the front end in particular. It remains fully equipped and has extensive assistance systems.

The revised Kia Picanto can already be configured before it is delivered in the summer. Kia calls what it has given its entry-level Picanto model a self-confident appearance. It should particularly appeal to those for whom the small Kia was previously too harmonious. The small petrol engine now fits seamlessly into the at least independe design line of the Sportage and Sorento SUVs – a matter of taste!
Complete basic equipment
The interior remains very grown-up for a small car, with a full range of basic equipment. Of course, the facelift comes with the assistance systems that will be mandatory in the EU from July 1 2024. These include an active lane departure warning system, a speed limit display that registers speeding visually or acoustically, emergency brake assist and a drowsiness warning system. In addition, the new Picanto now has a forward collision warning system and a lane departure warning system as standard, which keeps the Picanto centered in its lane.

Even the entry-level Picanto with a 46 kW one-liter petrol engine also comes with extensive basic equipment including a navigation system, Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, air conditioning, four electric windows, reversing camera, cruise control, etc., etc., which at least partially justifies the high entry-level list price of 16,690 euros.
Top equipment line only with more powerful engine
The Vision equipment line from 17,190 Euro also includes alloy wheels, heated steering wheel and heated seats. A more powerful engine with a displacement of 1.2 liters and 58 kW is only available from Vision upwards, which then costs 17,990 euros. The Spirit equipment line is only available with the more powerful engine (from 20,190 euros). In the Spirit, the front collision warning system is supplemented by a turning function, which is designed to help avoid collisions with oncoming vehicles when turning left.
The Spirit also has an active blind spot assistant and a cross-traffic warning system, e.g., when reversing out of driveways. In addition to full LED headlights, keyless entry and automatic climate control, the Spirit equipment line also comes with an inductive smartphone charger. Both engines are available with automatic transmission from €18,190 and €21,190 respectively. Deliveries will start in July. As with all models, Kia also offers a seven-year manufacturer's warranty on the Picanto.
