Microsoft has launched the Visual Studio Hub. This is an overview page that contains links to further information about the Visual Studio development environment –, including updates, features, community feedback and AI support.

One section of the new website shows the new features in Visual Studio 2022. Developers can filter by category, for example Cloud, GitHub Copilot, Git Tooling or Debugging. After clicking on the category, further links to the corresponding specific new features and to the full release notes for the latest minor version 17.13 appear. Microsoft demonstrates this in the blog entry for the announcement:

The Visual Studio Hub offers a drop-down menu for further information on the features of the development environment.

When selecting a category, specific links appear, such as here to GitHub Copilot.

There is a general GitHub copilot area under the section on what's new. It provides information on how to use the AI assistant in Visual Studio and points the way to tutorials on code completion, AI chat, debugging and prompt tips. For example, Microsoft Learn provides instructions for debugging with GitHub Copilot, which is linked in the hub.

A blog section showing the latest entries in the Visual Studio blog and key resources are among the other contents of the new website. The latter link to Microsoft Learn, as well as to the community and feedback page for Visual Studio. On the feedback page, developers can submit their feature requests to Microsoft, but also report existing problems.

The new hub is available at visualstudio.microsoft.com/hub. Microsoft has written a blog entry to accompany the announcement.
