New environments, more content: Disney+ and Paramount+ upgraded for Vision Pro
The streaming services from Disney Corporation and Paramount Global have been improved for the Vision Pro. You can immerse yourself in nature and SpongeBob.

Not all known video services are yet available for Apple's Vision Pro. There are still no official clients for Netflix and YouTube and you have to use the iPad application for Amazon Prime Video. However, some providers consider the 4K headset important enough to regularly improve their in-house apps. This has now happened with Disney+ and Paramount+.
Disney+ under visionOS: more 3D, more nature
The revised Disney+ app comes with a new - and already fifth - environment, i.e. the 3D environment into which you can be transported while enjoying a movie. The Disney+ theater, the "Scare Floor" from "Monsters Inc.", the tower from "Avengers" and the Star Wars desert planet Tatooine are already available here. Now a National Geographic environment showing the Thingvellir National Park in Iceland has been added. According to the company, National Geographic is known for nature photography that uses the latest technology. "Creating an immersive environment was the natural next step," said an executive.
Furthermore, the latest Disney+ version also brings an increased range of 3D films, including from the Avengers series, but also classic movies such as "Frozen II" and "The Lion King". Of course, all this content is only available to subscribers. Disney had an app on offer right from the start of Vision Pro.
SpongeBob on the Vision Pro
Paramount+, again part of Paramount Global, is delivering an immersive environment as part of its app for the first time. It celebrates 25 years of the children's series with the sponge on Bikini Bottom. Here, too, you can watch movies while looking at the surroundings. There is even day and night under the sea. There are also interactive elements such as catching jellyfish with a finger gesture. SpongeBob himself is also there while watching a movie, sitting "next" to the user with popcorn.
The new functions in the Disney+ app are initially available to users with a US App Store account, and the range of films may also be different for German Disney+ subscriptions. Paramount+ is also not yet available in the German App Store for the Vision Pro. Here, too, you need an American account. Unfortunately, some providers also implement geo-blocks.
