As abruptly as the release was stopped, it apparently continues spontaneously: Samsung has continued the distribution of the One UI 7 update worldwide.

Just over a week after Samsung pressed the pause button for the major One UI 7 update for many Galaxy smartphones, distribution is continuing. The manufacturer has confirmed this to Heise Online.
Samsung is thus continuing the distribution of the update based on Android 15, initially for the 2024 top models Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and Ultra as well as the foldables Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Users should now receive the new version on the aforementioned devices that they have not yet received after the update release began on April 7.
One UI 7 “serious bug” apparently fixed
On April 14, Samsung suspended the distribution of the update globally and, according to a report, also removed the firmware images from the servers. The reasons for the update pause were not given. It merely stated that the “rollout schedule for the update to One Ul 7 will be adjusted to provide customers with a smooth experience”.

Unofficial sources spoke of a “serious error” related to the screen unlocking process. After installing the update, some users were reportedly unable to unlock their smartphone.
One UI 7: Galaxy S24, to be followed by Galaxy S23 and many other models in May
With last year's Galaxy S24 and Foldable models, Samsung has only given the starting signal for a large wave of updates. The manufacturer has already announced which devices will receive the update in the coming weeks and months. In addition to the Galaxy S23 series, the foldables of the Galaxy Z5 series will also receive the new software in May. The Galaxy S22 and S21 family will also be supplied with the new software in May. The last devices will receive the update – in July, at least according to the provisional plan.
After the late start to the rollout and the surprising forced break, Samsung will now have to hurry, as Google plans to release the next major update, Android 16, in June. One UI 8 is reportedly already in development and will be pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
