Telekom: MagentaMobil tariffs get permanent double data volume
Deutsche Telekom is significantly increasing the data volume in its MagentaMobil tariffs. The prices remain unchanged.

More data volume for Deutsche Telekom customers: The MagentaMobil mobile tariffs are getting significantly more data volume than before. The prices will not be increased. There is also a new entry-level tariff called MagentaMobil Basic, which includes 5 GB of data including 5G and free calls to all German networks for 25 euros per month. The new conditions will apply from August 1.
Deutsche Telekom is doubling the data volume included in its existing MagentaMobil tariffs:
- MagentaMobil S will in future offer 20 GByte instead of 10 GByte for 40 euros per month.
- MagentaMobil M will offer 40 GB instead of 20 GB for 50 euros per month.
- MagentaMobil L will offer 80 GByte instead of 40 GByte for 60 euros per month.
MagentaMobil XL with international data volume
The MagentaMobil XL tariff remains largely unchanged. Customers will continue to receive unlimited data volume for 85 euros per month. What is new, however, is 5 GB of data volume per month for Internet use abroad in country groups 2 and 3 – including Turkey, the USA and Canada.
This means that all Telekom customers can now enjoy some of the benefits that were previously exclusive to MagentaEins customers. These are people who combine a mobile contract and a fixed-network contract from Deutsche Telekom. They have already been able to use double the data volume in the MagentaMobil tariffs.
To ensure that MagentaEins customers still benefit in future, they will receive a new benefit: unlimited data volume is available for one hour every day during the "Mobile Happy Hour". This applies to MagentaEins users on the MagentaMobil Basic, S and M tariffs. Anyone who has also booked the IPTV service MagentaTV will receive two hours of Happy Hour every day. The MagentaMobil L contract is excluded because MagentaEins customers on this tariff can use unlimited data volume anyway. This will not change.

Deutsche Telekom is also making improvements to roaming. With the launch of the improved mobile tariffs, calls to non-EU countries will be cheaper. In future, such calls will only cost a flat rate of 29 cents per minute.
