visionOS app store opens for more countries
Apple is preparing to launch the Vision Pro outside the USA. The first software stores for the headset are launched abroad.

Following the release of its headset in the United States in February, Apple will bring the Vision Pro to the first foreign markets from the end of June. This can now also be seen on the operating system side: Users of the current visionOS 1.2 are reporting that, in addition to the US visionOS App Store, other country offerings can be opened for the first time. Previously, these simply did not appear; an American Apple ID was always required to download apps. Meanwhile, users of the visionOS 2 beta report that there is also German keyboard support for the glasses for the first time – previously you always had to use a US English keyboard.
Which countries the Vision Pro will be coming to next
Apple is using a staggered approach for the further rollout of the headset. On June 28, the Vision Pro will initially be launched in mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. The pre-order phase began last week. On July 12, it will continue with Germany, France, the UK, Canada and Australia, where the first pre-orders can be placed from June 28.
In Germany, prices for the 256 GByte version start at 3999 euros including VAT, the 512 GByte model costs 4249 euros and the 1 TByte version 4499 euros. In the USA, prices start at 3499 US dollars plus tax. To initiate the purchase, you need an iPhone or iPad with Face ID to find the right size for the light seal and the knitted fabric strap that comes as standard.
Apps available quickly – if developers don't stop
According to Apple, all apps will automatically be available in the new regions as long as they are selected in App Store Connect. iOS and iPadOS apps normally also run on the Vision Pro (except camera apps, among others), but this can also be controlled via App Store Connect.
According to Apple, there are currently more than 1000 apps for the Vision Pro that are specifically adapted for the headset. The number is likely to increase further with the launch of the new markets. The high price remains a problem. The Vision Pro comes with two 4K micro OLED screens and has a very high image quality.
