iPhone 16 Pro sizes apparently leaked
New information about the design of Apple's next Pro smartphones has come from China. They will allegedly have "the thinnest display edge ever".

Apple will be playing with the form factors of the iPhone this year: Changes are expected for the 16 Pro models in particular. External dimensions and weight specifications have now been leaked for the first time. They come from two leakers from China who have already scored hits in the past. There is also new information on the display edges of the iPhone 16 Pro.
Both devices will allegedly be slightly heavier
The iPhone 16 Pro is no different to the iPhone 15 Pro in terms of thickness. However, the height has increased from 146.6 to 149.6 mm, while the width is now 71.45 mm instead of 70.60 mm. The display diagonal is reportedly 6.3 inches instead of 6.1 inches. The iPhone 16 Pro is said to be 7 grams heavier than its predecessor.
The thickness of the iPhone 16 Pro Max will increase from 8.25 mm to 8.26 mm, while the height will be 163 mm instead of 159.9 mm. The width is specified by the leakers as 77.58 instead of 76.70 mm. This results in a display diagonal of 6.9 inches instead of 6.7 inches. The weight increases by 4 grams.
Thinnest display edge in the world?
When it comes to the display edge, Apple is said to be working on a small revolution. According to another leak from China, this is supposedly going down significantly. For the iPhone 16 Pro, this is said to be just 1.2 mm (instead of 1.71 mm), and for the iPhone 16 Pro Max just 1.15 mm (instead of 1.55 mm for the iPhone 15 Pro Max).
This would be the thinnest display edge on the market. By comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro still had a 2.15 mm thick edge. Apple uses new display production technology to reduce the thickness, including the so-called Border Reduction Structure process. This shrinks the circuitry under the display. The new iPhone models will be presented in September if Apple keeps to its usual schedule. Improved cameras, faster 5G chips and a new "Capture" button that allows you to take photos and videos more quickly are also expected to be new. The buttons could also switch to solid-state technology, which was reportedly already planned for earlier models.
