Version 1.0 is available for the open source ClipCascade tool – according to the semantic version numbering, the tool is therefore considered stable and ready for production. ClipCascade is designed to automatically synchronize the clipboard across multiple devices. The end-to-end encryption is designed to protect users' privacy so that data can be shared securely between different workstations.

The functions include login authentication and synchronization of clipboard content. ClipCascade offers applications for the Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems as well as a mobile app for Android. A Docker image can be used to host your own instance, and a web interface allows you to monitor activities in real time, as described in the GitHub repository. Advanced settings allow customization options and update notifications ensure that the software is up to date.

What does version 1.0 bring?
With the new version, ClipCascade expands its functionality and now also supports macOS. In addition, the update fixes some error messages and offers an automatic adjustment of the login form as well as so-called heartbeat signals to stabilize the connection. This involves generating periodic signals that indicate whether the connection is working properly. Users can check for updates directly in the app to update the software.
Further information can be found in the repository on GitHub and in the release notes.
