Glittering and sparkling light reflections: The pictures of the week
A fascinating effect in photography: reflections, shadow images and soap bubbles in the bokeh. We present such photos in this week's pictures.

- Kai Siegle
A subject is perfectly delineated by an effective bokeh. This captures the magic of the blur and gives the scene a dreamlike atmosphere. Our gallery photographers present sections of our world in sparkling blur.
Riverside grass
(Image:Â 35mm)
Damp grass, a mystical glow: 35mm captures a special atmosphere here. The soft bokeh makes the bank grass stand out strongly from the background. The cool colors used here and the color contrast create a mysterious mood.
I love the greenery
(Image:Â Zika)
Gallery photographer Zika was delighted when he came across a representative of the woodpeckers on the other side of the world in Singapore – in this case a net-bellied woodpecker or laced woodpecker, Picus vittatus. The male is resplendent in his green plumage and blends in perfectly with the jungle environment."I love the green ones," says Zika.
Maple
(Image:Â Daborius)
Colorful lights dance around the maple. The current weather also invites Daborius to play with the lighting. The colors and the bokeh clearly separate the foreground from the background and create a colorful explosion of color sparkling through the autumn.
Squirrel by the pool
(Image:Â Peter-Engel-Photographie)
A squirrel by the pool looks curiously at Peter Engel Photography. The forest with its light leaves makes the bokeh shimmer green. The water reflection gives the picture a special touch. I wonder if the squirrel recognizes itself in the reflection?
Blue tit
(Image:Â Carl-Peter Herbolzheimer)
A dainty blue tit looks down relaxed on the forest floor. The yellow and blue plumage makes the bird stand out from the background. Carl-Peter Herbolzheimer succeeds in creating a bird portrait with a warm-toned bokeh.
The magic of nature
(Image: Stephan Gläser)
This flower bed looks delicate and magical. The flowers seem to sway gently in the wind. The slight blur gives the impression that this view is a daydream. Stephan Gläser successfully captures the magic of nature.
now – new life everywhere
(Image:Â Otto Hitzegrad)
A seedling sprouts from the earth. It is surrounded by many more. Now – New life everywhere. Otto Hitzegrad captures perfectly the beginning of spring at the start of the year with this macro shot and sparkling bokeh.
