Nvidia is offering a new app for controlling GeForce graphics cards: The program, simply called "Nvidia App", will in future replace the "GeForce Experience" app as the central point of contact for hardware control, driver downloads and game optimizations for GeForce graphics cards.
The Nvidia app has been available as a beta version since the beginning of the year, but the world's most valuable company has now dropped the beta label. The Nvidia app will soon also be delivered with GPU drivers and completely replace the GeForce Experience. Until then, however, users will still have to download and install the app manually.
Nvidia app brings features together
Until now, the control of Nvidia graphics cards has been two-pronged: users could make simple optimizations for video games in the modern GeForce Experience interface, which could also be used to manage and update drivers. System-wide features such as color management, monitor settings and advanced fine-tuning of GPU features, on the other hand, had to be managed in the classic Nvidia Control Panel.
The Nvidia app largely combines both programs into a uniform interface. In the Nvidia app, you can make Gsync settings, for example, as well as set the resolution and displayed refresh rate. In addition, more in-depth settings such as frame rate limits can be made for various individual games.

Control panel remains the same
If you still want to do this in the traditional way, you can continue to use the Nvidia Control Panel. It will not be replaced by the new app, but will remain as a supplement. You can access the Control Panel by right-clicking on the Nvidia app logo in the taskbar. Further features of the control panel will be added to the Nvidia app over time.
If you are not interested in advanced settings and only want to update drivers with the app, you may still be pleased with the new app: unlike the GeForce Experience, you do not have to log in to the Nvidia app. The new program can also be used without an Nvidia account.
