Remaster: Blizzard legt "Warcraft" und "Warcraft 2" neu auf
Blizzard is releasing remastered versions of two classic strategy games to mark the 30th anniversary of “Warcraft”. Warcraft 3: Reforged” is also being improved.

"Warcraft" turns 30 – and Blizzard is celebrating the anniversary with new editions of the classic strategy games. "Warcraft" and "Warcraft 2" are now available as remastered versions in Blizzard's own Battle.net store. Together with an improved version of "Warcraft 3: Reforged", the titles are offered in a bundle for 40 euros.
For the remaster collection, Blizzard has replaced the original, low-resolution sprites of the two strategy classics with new versions. The remastered versions of "Warcraft" and "Warcraft 2" run in higher resolutions. In addition to revised assets, Blizzard promises "updated convenience features for a modern gaming experience" on the Battle-net store page, without providing further details. Blizzard documents the visual changes in a trailer.

"Warcraft 3: Reforged" in version 2.0
The remaster of the remaster "Warcraft 3: Reforged" is also interesting. The new edition of the most famous game in the "Warcraft" trilogy was released at the beginning of 2020, but was heavily criticized by many fans – due to missing features and performance issues, among other things.
Since then, Blizzard has made improvements. Now the "Warcraft 3" remaster is taking another step forward with version 2.0: Blizzard has updated the classic assets and improved the environmental graphics, among other things, the studio writes on the store page. Players can now choose more freely between the modern graphic assets and the classic variants in the options.

"Warcraft" was released in November 1994 and laid the foundation for Blizzard's success story, which is largely based on the popular fantasy universe: In addition to the strategy game trilogy, the MMO "World of Warcraft" and the card game "Hearthstone" are also set in the "Warcraft" universe.
