Black Friday 2024: Great deals on MacBooks, AirTags and AirPods
Apple laptops are currently available at low prices. There are also interesting discount promotions for AirTags and AirPods Pro. What to look out for.

There are plenty of Black Friday sales on November 29 – including Apple devices. However, the supposed bargains are often not bargains because they are discontinued models or unfavorable configurations – a bad deal. In addition to many price reductions on software for iOS, iPadOS and macOS, there are also interesting hardware offers to be found: It's worth taking a look at the MacBook Air promotions in particular, as well as MacBook Pro M4 and Mac mini M4 in some cases.
MacBook Air from 900 euros
Apple last updated the MacBook Air with the M3 chip in spring 2024. There was also a recent memory upgrade, with 16 GB on board as standard – This makes the current offers attractive. Make sure it's not one of the models with just 8 GB of RAM, as retailers are also trying to get rid of these currently – often not much cheaper.
Amazon is currently selling the 13" MacBook Air M3 in the basic configuration (with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD) for just under 1000 euros. It costs 1300 euros at Apple. From November 29, the manufacturer will include a voucher worth 175 euros, which can only be spent in the Apple Store.
Other retailers also offer it for around 1000 euros. Incidentally, the predecessor MacBook Air M2 (built in 2022) can now also be found at – with 16 GB of RAM – for just under 900 euros, for example at Saturn.

Amazon lists the 13-inch MacBook Air M3 in the higher version with 512 GB SSD (as well as 10-core GPU and slightly more powerful power supply) for 1,200 euros. This is a new low price for this configuration, which is probably ideal for many users and for which Apple is charging 1529 euros (from Friday with a 175 euro gift card).
With a larger 15-inch display, several retailers such as Cyberport stock the MacBook Air M3 for less than 1300 euros (16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD). The version with 512 GB SSD is available on Black Friday for around 1500 euros, which is also a new low price.

A successor to the MacBook Air M3 is expected in spring 2025, possibly again in March. The new edition will probably come with an even faster M4 chip. Apple is also likely to remove the restrictions on support for external monitors, meaning that the MacBook Air M4 will most likely support two external screens in parallel with the integrated one. Although a price jump is not to be expected, retailers can usually only slightly undercut the higher Apple price at launch.
Still brand new: MacBook Pro and Mac mini M4
The price reductions for the new MacBook Pro M4 are significantly lower. However, the models are still very new on the market and extremely powerful, as the Mac & i test also showed. Apple has significantly upgraded the basic configuration in particular.
The MacBook Pro M4 is available from just under 1700 euros (starting from 1529 €) (16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD), at Apple it costs 1900 euros. The main advantage over the MacBook Air is the significantly better HDR-capable 120-heart display and the additional interfaces – but also a higher weight.
The M4 Pro (24 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Thunderbolt 5) starts at 2050 euros, which costs 2400 euros at Apple. The larger MacBook Pro with 16" display (M4 Pro, 24 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD) is available from 2550 euros. Incidentally, Apple is completely excluding the new M4 models from its in-house Black Friday promotion.

If you prefer a desktop Mac, you will find a few offers for the already very powerful Mac mini M4. However, buyers should be prepared for waiting times, as some retailers have very little or no stock, as recent weeks have shown. The basic configuration is offered for around 650 euros, at Apple it costs 700 euros. The Mac mini M4 Pro can be found from just under 1500 euros.

Apple accessories: AirTags and AirPods Pro 2
The 4-pack of AirTags costs just under 90 euros. Cheaper alternatives from third-party manufacturers can also be purchased from Amazon for less than 30 euros in a pack of four. These offer the same functions in Apple's "Where is?" network and can be attached directly to the key thing. The only thing missing is the ultra-wideband chip for centimeter-precise localization at close range. Depending on the intended use, this can also be dispensed with.

AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) are available on Black Friday for just under 200 euros. Apple regularly equips the in-ears with new functions via software updates, most recently adding a hearing aid function. A successor could be released in 2025, but there are no concrete details yet.

Deutsche Telekom is offering its customers the AirTags in a 4-pack for 76 euros on Thursday. On Friday, the AirPods Pro 2 will be available for 176 euros in the Magenta app. However, these promotions usually sell out quickly.
