Sandisk, Micron and Crucial choose new logos
Anyone buying new SSDs or memory cards should not be surprised: Sandisk, Micron and Crucial are trading under new logos.

Memory manufacturers seem to like new logos at the moment: If you notice them on Sandisk, Micron and Crucial, it's not product counterfeiters who have been creative – rather the manufacturers themselves want to freshen up their image.
Sandisk is increasingly splitting off from Western Digital. The manufacturers' websites and stores have already been decoupled: Western Digital (WD) now only sells hard disks, while Sandisk sells all kinds of NAND flash products such as SSDs and SD memory cards, including previous WD SSDs. The products will continue to run for the time being. However, new SSDs will appear under the Sandisk banner in future.
Meanwhile, the company no longer spells itself "SanDisk", but simply "Sandisk". The logo is in all capital letters.
In a press release, Sandisk makes it clear that the rebranding is part of the separation that both companies want to complete in 2025.

New logos for Micron and Crucial too
Micron and its subsidiary Crucial have no such reason. Micron has opted for a looped lettering. Crucial, on the other hand, has a new font and has lost the horizontally elongated i-dash. Instead of the "by Micron" under the lettering, the new Micron logo now always appears above it. Micron and Crucial introduced the change back in October.
