The pre-Christmas period is over and the year 2024 is drawing to a close. Developments in the AI sector slowed down somewhat, the focus was on sport and our sun provided one or two celestial spectacles with impressive auroras. The year was a special one for our company, as heise celebrated its 75th birthday – and is a jersey sponsor. Hopefully all the presents have now been bought and nothing stands in the way of a peaceful, reflective holiday season. For many, it will certainly be a time to take a break and recharge their batteries for the coming year. It certainly won't be short of news, as it starts with the early federal elections.

We hope you can use the coming days to catch up on a good book, an educational game, an award-winning movie or an outstanding series. If not, we wish you enough time for your alternative. No matter what you do and how you celebrate the days, have fun, relax and, if necessary, be successful. To our fellow Jews, we of course wish you Chanukah sameach. However, if you are working, we would simply like to say thank you and wish you as few emergencies and no stress as possible.

That is why we will continue to provide you with the latest news and the most important information over the holidays and between the years. The 38th Chaos Communication Congress, which we will of course be reporting on, is set to be an interesting event from December 27 to 30. However, we would like to take this opportunity to wish those of you who won't be visiting us again until 2025 a Happy New Year and a peaceful, happy, successful and healthy New Year. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the most important news.
