Profane meets sacred

(Image: analoochjehtooch)

First place this time goes to analoochjehtooch, who captured the cathedral and the Ludwig Museum of the city of Cologne, staggered in his picture Profane meets sacred. The combination of the two architectural styles and the successful staggering of the elements creates a contrast that was also appreciated by the community.

Olympic Stadium Berlin

In second place is Herbert A Franke with his panoramic shot of the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The colors of the lawn and running track contrast with the plain surroundings. The latter, in turn, is dominated by the round shape of the roof and is counterbalanced by the light cloud cover and the blue sky.

What is art - a matter of opinion

(Image: Otto Hitzegrad)

Otto Hitzegrad completes the winner's podium with his photo “What is art – Ansichtssache”. It shows a sculpture by the artist Sol LeWitt, which he combines with the Weser Tower in the background and a blurred passer-by. The result is a successful street shot in a matching black and white version, which is particularly captivating due to the straight contours and opposing lines of the buildings.
