Adobe patchday: malware attacks on Photoshop & Co. possible
Attackers can attack Adobe applications to compromise computers. Security updates provide a remedy.

Adobe has closed several security vulnerabilities in Animate, Illustrator on iPad, Photoshop Substance 3D Designer and Substance 3D Stager. Often, attackers can push malicious code onto systems and execute it.
Security updates available
In all cases, memory errors triggered in unspecified ways are the starting point for malicious code attacks. So far, there are no reports of ongoing attacks. Admins should nevertheless install the versions protected against the attacks without delay. The software versions for both macOS and Windows are at risk of possible attacks. The majority of the vulnerabilities are classified as “high”.

In a warning message, the developers state that they have secured Animate 2023 23.0.10 and Animate 2024 24.0.7. Illustrator 3.0.8 is equipped with security fixes for iOS. Photoshop 2024 25.12.1 and Photoshop 2025 26.2 have been provided with security patches. The developers have closed four vulnerabilities in Substance 3D Designer 14.1. Issue 3.1.0 of Substance 3D Stager has been patched. All previous versions are vulnerable.
