This week's pictures are dominated by colorful and energetic motifs. In addition to people engaged in sporting activities, mystical shadows and imposing skyscrapers have a dynamic effect, especially next to monumental sacred buildings and modern concrete architecture, which radiate a completely different kind of power.
Folk dance.....
(Image:Â claus-labenz)
A young woman turns elegantly and energetically in a folk dance..... while claus-labenz captures this fleeting moment with his camera. The observer immediately recognizes from her facial expression that she is enjoying it. The zoom effect emphasizes the dynamics in the picture and at the same time alienates it.

Shadow cross
(Image:Â Dont-Panic-42)
The neo-Romanesque triumphal cross floats majestically down from the ceiling of Speyer Cathedral and casts an impressive shadow cross on the wall. The black and white staging by Dont-Panic-42 enhances the dramatic effect of the scenery. Some light shines through the windows, making the moment seem even more mystical.
for Zika
(Image:Â Martin Ruopp)
Among the rubble, a crow struggles with its beak to loosen the lid of a bottle – a fascinating spectacle that testifies to intelligence and adaptability. Martin Ruopp subtly brightened up the original shot of Zika, making it more vivid. Corvids develop strategies to obtain food, learning in particular by observing their surroundings.
Surfer on Fistral Beach Newquay 011
(Image:Â Hungry Joe)
A surfer at Fistral Beach Newquay 001 rides the wave with impressive skill. The spray, which splashes in all directions, makes the power of the crashing sea palpable. Hungry Joe captures this dynamic moment on the coast of England.
City of London
(Image: M.Schröder)
In the middle of the vibrant City of London, M. Schröder has an impressive view of the dizzying financial skies. The English metropolis combines modern high-rise buildings and historic old town architecture – a place where past and future merge in an impressive way. In the picture, however, the photographer concentrates on the modern part. The intense colors are dominated by a bright blue sky and its reflection in the glass facades.
Window shadows
(Image: Wolfgang Görgen)
The small glass windows cast a fascinating, lively play of colors on the wall as the light falls through them. The colored shadows reveal fine details such as dust and dirt or the less homogeneous structure of the old panes. These patterns are also immortalized on the wall: an unusual play of light, the"window shadows". Wolfgang Görgen captures this moment in an almost abstract photograph.
Tate Gallery
(Image:Â NilsSch)
The curved staircase in the Tate Gallery winds elegantly through a barren, empty environment. The gray of the bare concrete creates an almost unreal, surreal atmosphere. NilsSch 's composition impresses with its clear lines and minimalist aesthetics.
