iPhone SE 4 ahead: Launch probably on February 19
Apple boss Tim Cook has given a date for new products – There will soon be a new "family member".

Apple has announced the market launch of a new product – for next Wednesday, February 19. The announcement was made by CEO Tim Cook, who used Elon Musk's Network X as a communication channel. "Get ready to meet the newest member of the family," was Cook's succinct message. No further details were given. Apple also chose X as the medium for the pre-announcement of the M4 Macs last fall.
iPhone SE, MacBook Air and iPads in the pipeline
The manufacturer is preparing to launch several new product series: In addition to an entirely new edition of the important entry-level model iPhone SE, a MacBook Air M4 and an updated iPad Air and iPad are also likely to be in the starting blocks. The most likely scenario so far is that Apple will use the date to present the "iPhone SE 4". The model series was last updated in March 2022 and is still based on the old iPhone 6 design.
An iPhone launch in February is unusual. However, Apple already had to withdraw the model from sale in the EU at the turn of the year because it does not have a USB-C port for charging, but still has the old Lightning connector. The iPhone 14 is therefore only being sold by other retailers and the manufacturer itself no longer offers it.
As a result, there is a huge gap in Apple's product range, at least in the EU because there is no longer a slightly cheaper iPhone. Competitors such as Samsung and Google are also preparing to launch new mid-range models.

iPhone SE mixes new and old
The new iPhone SE is likely to be based on the design of the iPhone 14, but with USB-C instead of Lightning. It will therefore probably be significantly larger and is likely to be equipped with an OLED display with a diagonal of 6.2 inches. Apple's current A18 chip is being discussed as components, including support for Apple Intelligence. The price could be around 600 euros. Observers also expect Apple's first in-house 5G modem to make its debut.
