The German delivery service provider Delivery Hero recorded revenue growth of 22 percent in the past financial year. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) rose from 253.6 million euros in the previous year to just under 750 million euros in 2024, the company announced. With these figures and a free cash flow of over 200 million, the company is in a better position than in the previous year. The company did not provide any information on net profit when asked.
According to the company, its targets for 2025 are an EBITDA of over one billion euros and 17 to 19 percent more turnover. In addition, free cash flow is to be maintained at over 200 million euros. Delivery Hero will publish its final report on the past financial year on April 24.

Strong competition
In contrast to Europe, where Delivery Hero is the largest food delivery company, it is overshadowed by much larger competitors in Asia and the USA. In South Korea, one of the most important markets, the largest competitor Coupang has introduced free deliveries. In other Southeast Asian countries such as Taiwan, the company is currently in retreat.
Delivery Hero is involved in companies in more than 70 countries. Talabat, which offers its services in countries including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Egypt, is the strongest company in the portfolio. In Germany, Delivery Hero is only active in the form of smaller investments in other companies, such as Gorillas.
