In two weeks: GeForce RTX 5070 versus Radeon RX 9070 XT
Even before the market launch, Amazon accidentally sold new AMD graphics cards. They started at 650 US dollars.

AMD will present the Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 on February 28, 2025 as part of a YouTube livestream. This was confirmed by AMD manager David McAfee, responsible for Radeon and Ryzen products, via X. The stream is scheduled for 2 p.m. German time via the "AMD Gaming" channel. As is typical for such events, graphics cards will not be available to buy directly.
According to the often well-informed website Benchlife.info from Taiwan, the starting signal will be given on March 6. Both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and the slightly slower Radeon RX 9070 are expected to go on sale on that day.
Nvidia is expected to be a little earlier: The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti – will reportedly go on sale next on February 20. According to Benchlife.info, Nvidia is postponing the slower GeForce RTX 5070 to March 5, just one day before AMD's competitor models. The 9070 and 5070 graphics cards compete directly with each other.

Already available in the USA in the meantime
Nvidia has already announced the specifications and prices: The company recommends 879 euros for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, while the normal GeForce RTX 5070 costs 649 euros. AMD remains silent on its own details.
However, Amazon in the USA recently provided an initial preview of the pricing. Manufacturer cards from XFX went on sale early: The Radeon RX 9070 XT cost 750 US dollars, the Radeon RX 9070 around 650. Converted including VAT (not included in US prices), this corresponds to around 855 and 740 euros respectively. The product pages are now offline again; Videocardz shows screenshots.
If the prices prove to be correct, the smaller AMD model should already be faster than the GeForce RTX 5070. Amazon is reasonably reliable when it comes to prices – in previous generations, the store did not attract attention due to outrageous upfront prices. However, AMD could still adjust the price recommendations in the short term, depending on how the test results of the Nvidia graphics cards turn out. It is also questionable how good availability will be at the start of sales.
