"Monster Hunter Wilds" is Capcom's most successful game
Capcom has sold eight million copies of "Monster Hunter Wilds" within three days. The player numbers are immense.

The latest installment in the action role-playing game series "Monster Hunter" is Capcom's most successful title in the company's entire history–, at least if you go by the sales figures for the first few days. Eight million copies of "Monster Hunter Wilds" were purchased within the first three days of its release, according to the publisher.
This means that the game has already flushed hundreds of millions of euros into Capcom's coffers. In Germany, the standard PC version costs 70 euros on Steam, the Deluxe Edition 90 euros and the Premium Deluxe Edition 110 euros. The latter two include skins, emotes and stickers. The console versions for PlayStation 5 (Pro) and Xbox Series X/S each cost 10 euros more.
The number of players is also impressive. According to the statistics site SteamdB, more than one million people are currently playing "Monster Hunter Wilds" simultaneously on Steam alone. It is currently the second most-played Steam title after the first-person shooter "Counter-Strike 2". At its peak, "Monster Hunter Wilds" had almost 1.4 million concurrent players. Added to this are the console players on PlayStation and Xbox.

Mixed ratings
However, "Monster Hunter Wilds" is also not running smoothly after its launch. Capcom has already released an initial hotfix patch to fix some serious bugs. Some of these prevented players from progressing through the story. On a support page, Capcom summarizes all known and fixed bugs in a list.
Meanwhile, complaints about performance and the outdated multiplayer system are piling up on Steam. The gameplay, on the other hand, is often praised. Currently, just 58 percent of the 66,000 reviews are positive.
