This time, our gallery photographers take you on a journey to very different places around the world – from icy frost and the first blossoms to dry steppes with grazing zebras and impressive gorges with mighty waterfalls.
Start of the new year
(Image:Â Addi Beck)
Snowdrops sprout from the ground at the start of the new year. Addi Beck skillfully captures the delicate beauty of these flowers in his macro shot. The gloomy, blurred surroundings emphasize the delicate blossom and lend the picture a mysterious, tranquil atmosphere. Soon this bud will unfold.
Graffiti behind the building fence
(Image:Â Otto Hitzegrad)
Otto Hitzegrad captures the graffiti behind the building fence, which is artfully framed by the delicate ice structures and the scaffolding. The actual motif, the graphic, stands out clearly. Although it looks like a montage, this picture is an authentic photograph.
I am not a dog; I am a Beagle!
(Image:Â mtuyb)
"I am not a dog; I am a Beagle!" – This is the title of the exhibition at the Beagles Club, Berlin-Brandenburg. In this portrait, mtuyb masterfully captures the dog breed while the beagle gazes intensely into the camera. The color and lighting mood makes every little detail of the animal come alive and clearly recognizable.
Super moon at the Frauenkirche in Dresden
(Image:Â Steffen Lorenz)
The supermoon at the Frauenkirche in Dresden dominates the sky and appears gigantic in comparison to the church. Together with the lighting of the architecture, it illuminates the night and creates a warm contrast to the cool tones of the night sky. The immaculate blue sky and the clearly recognizable details of the church lend the scene a special urgency, which Steffen Lorenz captures in his picture.
Zebra stripes on the horizon
(Image:Â analoochjehtooch)
"The picture(Zebra crossing on the horizon) was taken on a safari through the Masai Mara in Kenya guided by a professional photographer," recalls analoochjehtooch (aka Jörg Franzen). "Not far from the vehicle was a group of zebra grazing peacefully with sunset in the background (...). I chose a low shooting perspective and was able to counter the fading light with my 300 mm telephoto lens, which was short but fast at F2.8."
Ice splashes....
(Image:Â claus-labenz)
"Even behind the glass, I had the feeling he was about to run me over," Claus-Labenz recalls of the ice hockey game in Hamburg. "But it was an exciting, intense and action-packed sport." In this dynamic montage, the sharpness of the ice splashes gives the sport a special impact. The black background focuses attention on the player and enhances the effect of the scene.

Victoria Falls (Zambia) sunset
(Image:Â lgfokus)
The gorge in southern Africa is captured impressively – Mighty waterfalls cascade into the turquoise river in the valley, while the sky glows a warm orange. The photo of the Victoria Falls (Zambia) "sunset" by lgfokus conveys a breathtaking and surreal scenery that almost seems to come from another world.
