Developer studio Kojima Productions released a ten-minute gameplay video for the presentation, which, with its typical "Death Stranding" strangeness, makes any interpretation seem impossible. You can see gameplay sections and cutscenes, as well as a reference to the "Metal Gear" hero Solid Snake. What all this has to do with the story remains to be seen.
'Death Stranding 2' bears the official nickname 'On The Beach' and is intended to seamlessly continue the story of the first part released in 2019. It is about Sam Porter Bridges, played by Norman Reedus, who is tasked with delivering various cargoes in a post-apocalyptic world.
With Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker
In addition to Norman Reedus, the cast of the second part also includes Léa Seydoux, who reprises her roles from part 1. The baby from part 1 is also back, as previously released videos show. The well-known voice actor Troy Baker is also part of the cast. Baker recently voiced the iconic main character in "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" and was personally praised by Harrison Ford.

'Death Stranding 2' was announced back in February 2024. The game is about a "journey to save humanity from extinction", Kojima Productions announced at the time. Part 1 took two years after the Playstation release to be ported to the PC. A version for the Xbox was never released. In addition to "Death Stranding 2", a film adaptation is planned, which is being created in collaboration between Kojima and Studio A24.
