Version 12.0 of the open-source task management software Super Productivity has been released. The update includes a new board feature that allows tasks to be sorted into predefined structures such as the Kanban workflow or the Eisenhower matrix. User-defined overviews are also possible. Users can drag and drop them to the intended location and schedule them accordingly. They can also be tagged with keywords and sorted into categories.
Task management with timeboxing
Super Productivity is an open source tool that manages the user's tasks and measures the time required to complete them. It uses timeboxing, a project planning method that allows users to assign a maximum time budget to their tasks. Tasks can also be broken down into further subtasks. Other functions include a Pomodoro timer and metrics with which users can evaluate their working day.
Users can integrate the project management tools Jira and OpenProject, as well as the version management tools GitHub, GitLab and Gitea into the application. The application imports assigned tasks automatically and notifies the user when changes are made. In addition to backups to Dropbox and Google Drive, the tool also allows synchronization via WebDAV protocol.
