The blue bird that adorned Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco between 2012 and 2023 is being auctioned off. Anyone interested can place their bid until March 21. The initial bid must be placed by March 20 at 6 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time before a 30-minute countdown starts and expires if no higher bid is received. The seller's website estimates a sale price of over 40,000 US dollars. At the time of research, the highest bid is just under 24,000 US dollars.
The logo was first auctioned in 2023 as part of Twitter's renaming to X and was attached to the side of the company building. It measures approximately 3.7 by 2.7 meters and weighs just under 250 kilograms. However, the version put up for sale is not the only one of its kind. There is also a second version hanging on the front of the building.

If you have the necessary change to participate in the bidding, you should note that you are also responsible for transporting the oversized bird yourself. According to the auction website, it is currently in a warehouse in San Francisco.
