Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is reportedly to be unveiled on May 13

Samsung's ultra-thin smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, was originally due to be released in April. However, the date was postponed at short notice and there are rumors about a possible new date.

For reasons as yet unknown, Samsung had canceled the launch date for the new member of the Galaxy S25 series . It is rumored that the delay in the presentation is due to the sudden death of Samsung co-CEO Jong-Hee Han and its consequences in the management of the Korean company.

Presentation of the Galaxy S25 Edge apparently four weeks later than planned

As reported by leaker Max Jambor on Sammobile, Samsung has set a new date for the announcement of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which can be seen as an early response to the iPhone 17 Air . Accordingly, the smartphone is to be unveiled on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

The new timeframe is in line with an earlier report that the device would be released between May and June following the postponement. Samsung is not planning a big unpacked event like the launch of the Galaxy S25 series in January. Instead, a smaller online event is planned, according to Jambor. It is still unclear whether the smartphone will be launched on the market in May.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Thin and probably quite expensive

According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will have a 6.7-inch display similar to the Galaxy S25 Plus, but will be less than 6 millimeters thin. The processor is expected to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite, which will be accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of flash memory. The latest information suggests that the device will be available in at least three colors: "Titanium Silver", "Titanium Jetblack" and "Titanium Icyblue".
