Bosch eBike Flow app: Update 1.26 manages multiple e-bikes

Bosch has updated its “eBike Flow” app to version 1.26.9. The app for Android and iOS can now manage up to six different e-bikes in one account. Previously, only one electric bike per account could be managed with the Flow app. Bosch has also made the app interface clearer.

Cyclists used to have a problem if they owned several e-bikes with Bosch's smart system: They could only administer one electric bike at a time with the Flow app. It was also not possible to manage several e-bikes, for example for family members. Each family member needed their account and their Flow app on their smartphone.

Managing multiple e-bikes

The Flow update to version 1.26.9 now makes it easier for owners of multiple e-bikes with Bosch's Smart System to switch from one electric bike to another. All they have to do is register the new e-bike in the Flow app. A list can then be displayed via a button at the top left of the home screen (small icon with bikes), which bikers can use to switch between the electric bikes. You can make all the settings on the bikes as before. This also works if several bikes from one family are registered. Functions such as updating the smart system over-the-air (OTA) and using the 'eBike Lock' anti-theft protection are still possible for each individual e-bike.

However, there is one downside: all activities of all electric bikes registered in the account are included in the statistics. This is good if you manage several e-bikes that you use yourself, but becomes confusing if e-bikes are managed by several family members. They then also have no access to their performance overview.

Faster access to the settings

Bosch has made the user interface a little clearer. The settings can now be accessed more quickly via a dedicated button at the top right (gear symbol). Previously, they were hidden in the depths of the menu bar and therefore required “menu diving”. The profile settings are now grouped under “Profile”. This also includes all settings for the functions of the Flow+ paid subscription offer.

Users of an electric “eShift” gear shift from TRP can now add their TRP gear shift lever as a component to the digital “eBike Pass” in the Flow app. This gives bikers a better overview of all the components on their e-bike.

Version 1.26 of the Flow app is now available for Android and iOS. On Android, it may take some time before the new version is available for all users.
