Microsoft has published a hotfix release of Powertoys for Windows, raising the version level to 0.90.1. In the updated version, the programmers have corrected particularly frequently observed, annoying errors in the tool collection.
Microsoft's developers keep the release announcement short and sweet: The update to version 0.90 did not work when using WinGet, the Powertoys version could not be installed. If WinGet was not found on a system, the new quick launcher function "Command Palette" did not start.
Powertoys: Some bug fixes
The command palette also crashed if it was started with administrator rights. Another problem occurred when the command palette tried to install dependencies of software – even if the dependencies were already fulfilled.

The .Net package in the Powertoys has also been updated to version 9.0.4. Powertoys users can simply install the update so that the aforementioned problems do not affect their own systems: In Powertoys itself, under the "General" tab under "Version and updates", a click on the "Check for updates" button leads to a search and the offer to install available updates.
