Nvidia launches GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and gives an outlook on RTX 5060
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti will be available from today with 8 and 16 GB of memory. The cheaper RTX 5060 still needs some time.

Nvidia is renewing its mid-range gaming graphics cards. Today at 3 pm, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti will be launched in two variants with 8 and 16 GB RAM. Apart from the amount of memory, both versions are identical.
The picture here is the same as with the GeForce RTX 5070 and GeForce RTX 5080: compared to their direct predecessors from the 4000 series, there is hardly any more computing power. Nvidia is focusing on the additional AI capabilities through Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS 4), above all the quadruple Multi Frame Generation (MFG) with artificially interpolated images.
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is only 7.2 percent faster than the RTX 4060 Ti in the FP32 data format (floating point with 32-bit width), which is important for games. It manages 23.7 instead of 22.1 trillion calculations per second (teraflops). Larger leaps in speed are only to be expected in memory-intensive cases – with the switch from GDDR6 to GDDR7, the transfer rate increases by 56 percent.
The GeForce RTX 5060 makes a bigger leap compared to the RTX 4060, with the FP32 computing power increasing by 27 percent to 19.2 teraflops. This graphics card also gets the significantly faster GDDR7 memory, but is always limited to 8 GB capacity. Nvidia has so far only given a rough availability date of May.

Old price recommendations reset
Nvidia has set the same recommended prices for the 5000 models as for the 4000 models at their market launch: 439 euros for the 8 GB version of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and 549 euros for the 16 GB version. In the case of the GeForce RTX 5060, there is so far only a US price of 299 dollars (excluding taxes) – which should result in around 320 euros.

Nvidia is carrying out a price reset with the market launch. Before the old graphics cards disappeared further and further from the market, they were available at significantly lower prices. A 16 GB version of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, for example, cost less than 420 euros in the meantime.
It remains to be seen how well the 5060 graphics cards will be available at launch. The more expensive models were not readily available at launch. Nvidia is not launching its own Founders Editions this time.
