Scott Galloway: Kissing asses and meta power
At the OMR Festival, Scott Galloway made predictions for the year 2025. AI takes up a lot of space, but he is more concerned about testosterone.

Scott Galloway is something of a professional fortune teller. This year, he once again took out his crystal ball at the OMR Festival. However, it mainly shows information based on stock market values and derived from previous developments. Nevertheless, Galloway says that making predictions is terrible and that Twitter reminds him a thousand times when he is wrong. You read that right, Twitter. Many of the audience in the Hamburg exhibition halls would probably like to see the old social network, now called X, back.
Galloway is a professor of marketing at the Stern School of Business at New York University – and a well-known face in the digital industry with his lectures. He has achieved this because his predictions are not only bold, but also clear.

Domino of cowardice
OpenAI is completely overrated, he says. It is well known that the business model is still ailing, the money from subscriptions is not enough for the statements and operating costs. Nevertheless, Galloway says that Openvidia will dominate the year. This refers to OpenAI and Nvidia.
Galloway is even more explicit when it comes to the big tech bosses. He shows a photo where the heads of Sundar Pichai (Google), Mark Zuckerberg (Meta), Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Jeff Bezos (Amazon) and others are printed on dominoes and calls it a domino of cowardice. Nobody is currently resisting politics in the USA, on the contrary, they are "kissing ass". What exactly the domino effect entails, however, remains unclear.

Meta will remain successful
But one of these heads will be particularly successful this year and beyond. Galloway says Meta will be the company of the year. Meta is more successful than any other company in the world, "more successful than the Kardashians". A joke that refers to the recent OMR Festival, where Kim Kardashian spoke about her strategy for success. Meta has the data, almost everyone uses one of the services. The posts on Facebook alone accounted for 180 trillion tokens. Language models such as in ChatGPT and Meta AI divide questions and answers into tokens, which correspond to the probable next letters or letter combinations. This data is required for AI training.
According to Galloway, Meta also has the computing power; they already have masses of Nvidia chips in their cupboard. And they have the money to pay the best minds well. This also sounded similar last year. Galloway described Meta and Google as the likely winners of the AI race.
Podcasts on YouTube as the media winner
Galloway's predictions also include YouTube becoming the most important platform ahead of Netflix and other streaming services. Mr. Beast is watched much more than any episode on Netflix. Podcasts are also increasingly moving to YouTube. People are watching podcasts and no longer just listening. TV is falling completely behind. But, warns Galloway, there are fewer and fewer companies and publishers providing content. You are 3.5 times more likely to be admitted to the Olympic Games than you are to start a successful podcast.
And what's the deal with testosterone: Galloway believes that young men in particular are getting worse. The economic situation, especially in the USA, is not good. As a result, more and more are becoming so-called incels.
