Asus now also has a business notebook with an AMD processor

Word has gotten around among corporate buyers that AMD builds quite decent processors. In addition, the Ryzen AI 300 are the only x86 processors that deliver high computing power and at the same time contain an AI unit that meets Microsoft's 40 TOPS minimum requirement for the Copilot+ logo.

For this target group, Asus is launching the ExpertBook PM3 in the third quarter, which complements the existing ExpertBook family with Intel chips. It uses AMD processors up to the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350, an eight-core processor from AMD's Strix Point spin-off Krackan Point, which was unveiled at CES but has only recently been seen in the first notebooks everywhere.

The 14-inch PM3406 variant uses a matte IPS screen with 2560 resolution and 144 Hertz. The notebook runs the processor at up to 45 watts, which should provide plenty of oomph. Despite the all-aluminum casing, the device is one of the heavier representatives of its size class at 1.35 kilograms. The 16-inch PM3606 variant will also be available; we do not yet have any information on the screen and weight of its big brother.

Both models have a 70 Wh battery, which is said to be sufficient for “all-day productivity” in very vague terms. Asus has not yet named any specific configurations, but it has given a starting price just above 1000 euros.

Copilot+ for desktop PCs

The ExpertCenter P640 (24-inch) and P670 (27-inch) all-in-one PCs, the ExpertCenter PM700MK mini tower, the PM700SK small form factor PC and the ExpertCenter PN54 mini PC also come with Ryzen AI Pro 300 and Copilot+.
