Silverstone: Retro PC case with a modern interior
Silverstone uses beige steel instead of colored RGB LEDs. The FLP02 PC case is designed to make retro hearts beat faster.

Silverstone is reviving an old PC trend: beige-colored cases that are based on models from the 90s. The manufacturer launched the FLP01 (starting from 99,90 €) for horizontal media computers (HTPCs) at the beginning of the year. According to Silverstone, this was such a great success that the FLP02 is now following as a tower case and further models are to be released in the future.
The FLP02 is 232 mm wide, 494 mm high and 472 mm deep. It fits motherboards in ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX and SSI-CEB formats.
Turbo button included
The body is made of beige-colored steel, the front is made of plastic. The latter is largely reminiscent of desktop PCs from the 90s. Also included: three 5.25-inch bays, which are rarely found nowadays. If you don't need them, for example for a disk drive, you can insert panels that imitate floppy drives.
At the front center is a control panel that contains a power switch, a reset button, an iconic turbo button and a key to turn. The latter locks the reset button if desired. The turbo button adjusts the speed of the case fans – an LC display to the right of it shows the current speed.
An I/O panel is hidden at the top, providing three USB ports (one type C) and a combo audio jack.

SATA hard disks and SSDs possible
The interior is a mixture of retro PCs and modern housings. Typical is a separate compartment at the bottom for the ATX power supply unit, where the cables can also be hidden. If you use a heavy high-end graphics card, you can screw an adjustable support system onto the power supply panel to support the graphics card. The case is also prepared for vertical graphics cards, although these may only occupy two slots.
The fan options are also typical of modern PCs: Two 120 mm models fit at the front, three 120s or two 140s at the top and one 120 or 140 at the rear. A 360 or 280 mm radiator for water cooling also fits at the top.

A cage for SATA hard disks and SSDs is now atypical, here shared with the 5.25-inch bays. The cage accommodates two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch data carriers. Without 3.5-inch hard disks, a total of six 2.5-inch models fit.
Silverstone plans to deliver the FLP02 in the second half of 2025 for 220 US dollars. Including taxes, this corresponds to just under 235 euros.
