Intel presents the processor for Nvidia's DGX B300
The Xeon 6 processor family gets three special versions with high turbo. One of these is used by Nvidia in the DGX B300 AI system.

Intel presents three new server processors within the Granite Rapids series (Xeon 6): the 6962P, 6776P and 6774P. Nvidia is installing the middle model in its DGX B300 AI server. It combines two Xeon 6 6776P with eight B300 aka Blackwell Ultra – Nvidia's fastest AI accelerator to date.
Intel is introducing two new turbo functions for higher clock frequencies with the three newcomers, the Priority Core Turbo (PCT) and "Speed Select Technology – Turbo Frequency (SST-TF)". PCT enables the "dynamic prioritization of high-priority cores" so that they can achieve higher turbo clock frequencies, Intel writes in the announcement.
The maximum clock rate increases from 3.9 to 4.6 GHz – an increase of 21 percent. Eight CPU cores are to achieve this value. In return, however, the other CPU cores fall back to their base clock, which is 2.3 to 2.7 GHz depending on the model. As a result, the Thermal Design Power (TDP) remains unchanged.
According to Intel, AI systems benefit from high CPU clock frequencies because they distribute many computing tasks sequentially to the GPU accelerators. The possibilities for parallelization across many cores are limited.

Server mid-range
Nvidia's mid-range Xeon 6 6776P model with 64 performance cores, eight memory channels and 88 PCI Express 5.0 lanes is sufficient. The still quite compact LGA4710 socket is sufficient for this. The DGX B300 houses eight ConnectX 7 network processors between the two CPUs and eight GPU accelerators.

The Xeon 6 6774P is only suitable for 1-socket systems. As it does not require a fast connection to a second CPU, it provides 136 PCIe 5.0 lanes for expansion cards. The 72-core Xeon 6 6962P uses the large LGA7529 platform with twelve memory channels. Intel is apparently not planning higher turbos for even more powerful processors – the top models use up to 128 cores.
