Falling Graphics card prices: More GeForce RTX 5000 below Nvidia recommendation
Numerous graphics cards have become cheaper since May. Nvidia models in particular are increasingly undercutting the RRP.

Current non-binding graphics card price recommendations are no longer just fantasy figures. The prices of numerous graphics cards have fallen in recent weeks. Five current GeForce graphics cards fall below Nvidia's RRP, one meets it. Only the GeForce RTX 5090 is still slightly above its recommendation – it was particularly overpriced after its launch at the end of January with prices above 3000 euros.
One of the cheaper GeForce RTX 5080 manufacturer cards (starting from 1059 €) costs less than half the price of a GeForce RTX 5090. The relative savings are even greater for the next two cheaper 5000 series models: the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti (starting from 749 €) is 10 percent lower than Nvidia's recommended price, the GeForce RTX 5070 (starting from 582,13 €) 12 percent lower.
In the case of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, the version with 16 GB of memory is available at the Nvidia RRP of around 450 euros. The 8 GB version is Nvidia's fastest current graphics card for less than 400 euros. The GeForce RTX 5060 slips slightly below the 300 euro mark.

Less movement at AMD
At AMD, the Radeon RX 9070 in particular is moving downwards. The Quicksilver Gaming Edition from XFX (starting from 579 €) has become 12 percent cheaper within a week. It is the first current Radeon to fall below AMD's recommended price. Acer's Nitro (starting from 529 €) makes a point charge. Other manufacturer cards continue to exceed the 629 euro MSRP.
AMD's fastest model from the current generation, the Radeon RX 9070 XT, is only gradually approaching the RRP. AMD advertises it as a 689 euro graphics card, but no model reaches this price. Acer's Nitro (starting from 589 €) is approaching the recommended retail price. All other manufacturer cards cost at least 30 euros more.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT will be released on June 5, 2025 in two versions with 8 and 16 GB of memory. AMD recommends prices of 299 and 349 US dollars respectively, which equates to around 315 and 365 euros including tax.
