Several of the best titles from Netflix's portfolio will be removed: “Hades”, “Katana Zero” and “Golden Idol” will soon be removed from the subscription.

The gaming package included in the Netflix subscription is shrinking: from July, several top-class games will be removed from the Netflix games portfolio. Netflix is informing its users about this in the app. Among others, “Hades”, “Rise of the Golden Idol”, “Case of the Golden Idol”, “Katana Zero” and the “Monument Valley” trilogy will be removed.
A total of 22 titles are affected, reports Whats-on-Netflix. The Netflix magazine has published a complete list. Most of the games will be available until July 14, while some will be removed from the offer on July 1. Netflix does not provide any information on the background to the decision. It is not unusual for games to be removed from subscriptions after a certain period of time. In the case of Netflix, however, a conspicuous number of comparatively well-known titles are now being removed at once – without new games being added to a similar extent.
The games from Netflix Games are available to every subscriber. These are mobile games and ports that can primarily be played on cell phones. Some games were limited to one platform. For example, the mobile version of “Hades” was only available for iPhone users, while Android users were left empty-handed.
No alternative
Some of the games that are now being removed from the Netflix portfolio were previously only available in their mobile version via the Netflix subscription. If they are no longer on Netflix, you can no longer play them on your cell phone. It remains to be seen if and when “Hades” and “Rise of the Golden Idol” will be released for mobile devices independently of Netflix.

Netflix also develops its own games for its games portfolio. However, one studio that was supposed to develop particularly ambitious games for the subscription has already been closed.
