T1 Phone: Trump Organization no longer advertises with "Made in USA"

Is the Trump Organization's T1 Phone really being built in the USA? There are massive doubts about the claim of the Trump Organization behind the phone, which now appear to have been confirmed: The Trump Organization has removed the statement that the phone is “Made in the USA” from the T1 Phone website.

This is one of several secret changes that have come to the attention of technology magazine The Verge, among others. For example, the store page for the “Trump phone” originally featured a large banner with the words “MADE IN THE USA”, which has apparently been removed in recent days. Meanwhile, only vague hints and statements of intent can be found there. The cell phone is “proudly American,” it says, for example, meaning “proudly American.” Or: The phone has been designed with “American values”.

Suddenly, a smaller display

Although the Trump Phone website has been changed, a spokesperson for the Trump Organization insists to CNBC that the phone is manufactured in the USA. However, this is considered impossible: There is simply no corresponding infrastructure in the USA. Apple has the components for its cell phones built in Taiwan, China, and India, among other places. It is practically impossible to pull factories, know-how, and manpower for production in the USA out of the ground in one fell swoop. After all, the smartphone was supposed to be launched on the market in September, according to the announcement.

This is another change that The Verge has noticed: the release date is now less specific. Instead of “September”, the T1 Phone website now states that the phone will be launched “later this year”. Even the hardware specifications of the phone have changed. According to the data sheet, the phone's screen has suddenly shrunk from 6.8 to 6.25 inches. In addition, the RAM is no longer specified at all. The Trump Organization still does not provide any information on the processor.

The Trump Organization presented the T1 Phone together with a mobile phone tariff in mid-June. Many questions remain unanswered about this tariff, too. For example, it is still not known which mobile phone provider will provide the network for the Trump tariff. The Trump Organization is a holding company for several of US President Donald Trump's businesses and properties.
