Microsoft has released version 0.92 of Powertoys. There are no new functions, but there are some detailed improvements and bug fixes.
In the release notes for Powertoys 0.92, the developers highlight some changes in particular. There was apparently demand for the function, so the programmers have now added a switch in the settings that turns the Powertoys system tray icon on or off.
The developers have also improved the “Command Palette”. It is now compatible for “Ahead-of-Time”, which means that components are compiled before they are called –, making the command palette faster. The support applies to all “first-party” extensions, i.e., those from the Powertoys development team. They have also improved the extensibility of the command palette and corrected the “core user experience” – resulting in better stability.
Further refinements in the Powertoys 0.92
The color picker now has freely selectable mouse button actions, allowing customized workflows by assigning functions to left, middle, and right mouse button clicks. The programmers have increased the stability of the rendering of the add-ons for the file explorer, which solves problems with the PDF preview, with empty thumbnails and crashes with text files while browsing in the file system.
