Google's Android browser Chrome now allows users to choose the position of the address bar. Users can now move the address bar to the bottom of the screen. This can be useful if you are using your phone with one hand and want to reach the address bar more easily with your thumb.

There are two ways to move the address bar to the bottom of the screen. The easier way is to tap and hold the address bar, then select "Move address bar down." Alternatively, tap the three dots in the top right corner to open the settings menu, go to "Settings," and then to the "Address bar" submenu. There you can choose whether you want it to be displayed at the top or bottom.
Google announced the update for the address bar weeks ago. However, it was not yet available in Germany. Now it appears to be rolling out in Germany as well. Heise online was able to change the position of the address bar on several Pixel phones, including a Pixel 9 Pro and a Pixel 8 Pro. On a normal Pixel 8, however, the new feature was not yet available.
