Stranger Things: Official trailer for season 5 raises expectations
The first official trailer for the fifth season of Stranger Things is here. The three minutes are raising high expectations.

Two minutes and 48 seconds – is the length of the official trailer for the fifth season of Stranger Things. Two minutes and ten seconds of that is a cover of Deep Purple's Child in Time, which accuses the viewers of the bombastic work. This sets the stage for a dramatic mood, where it's all or nothing. Does the song title also hint at the resolution in the finale?

The trailer shows many of the Demogorgon monsters in the real world that have already featured in previous seasons of the television series. Apparently, people are trying to use fire to fight the portals to the shadow world (Upside Down). The trailer suggests that this is not enough – Elfie (Millie Bobby Brown) must once again use her supernatural abilities. The powerful villain Vecna also returns in the trailer.
Hints about the storyline
Netflix itself describes the events: The problems ahead seem bigger and more overwhelming than anything the heroes of the series have had to face in previous seasons. "The military has taken over Hawkins, Indiana, and the Demogorgons look as terrifying as ever, but at least the gang has each other. And that will be crucial when they take on what Vecna has in store for them in the final chapter of the popular series."
Stranger Things 5 is set in the fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of rifts. The heroes have a common goal: to find and kill Vecna. But he has disappeared – his whereabouts and plans are unknown. This promises excitement for viewers.

Netflix already announced the broadcast dates for the fifth season of the hit series in early June. Stranger Things 5 will come in three parts. It will start on November 27, 2025, with four episodes. The second batch will arrive on December 26 and bring three new episodes. The final episode will air during primetime on New Year's Eve – in the United States. In Central Europe, that corresponds to 2 a.m. the following day. The other episodes of the final season of Stranger Things will also be released at that time.
