The partnership between Lego and Nintendo has resulted in another console made out of bricks: the Game Boy. The Lego set with the number 72046 consists of 421 parts and costs 60 euros. It can be ordered now and will be delivered from October 1, Lego promises in its store. The order quantity is limited to three pieces per buyer.
The highlight of the Lego Game Boy are the lenticular displays, which can show 3D-like scenes depending on the viewing angle. In addition to the Nintendo logo, you can also watch scenes from two Nintendo classics: "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" and "Super Mario Land", each of which comes with its own lenticular display. Both titles also come with a Lego cartridge that can be inserted into the slot of the Lego console.

The Lego Game Boy is 14 cm high, 9 cm wide and 3 cm deep, making it almost the same size as the original. Lego recommends the set for adults. As a small Easter Egg, Lego and Nintendo have recreated the original television advertisement for the console released in 1989.
Lego and Nintendo have been working together for years to translate figures and consoles from the Nintendo cosmos into the Lego universe. In 2020, for example, Lego presented an NES set that included a small tube TV in addition to the console itself. This set, which cost 224 euros, is no longer officially sold in the store. Instead, there are numerous figures and sets from the "Super Mario" universe.
